The University’s BAcc Accounting degree has received accreditation from the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accounting in England and Wales).

The course provides students with thorough training for a career in accountancy – including financial and management accounting, taxation and audit. With an emphasis on the practical aspects of accountancy, students gain the mix of skills, knowledge and experience needed for success in accountancy.

This latest accreditation now means that that the University’s BAcc Accounting course is recognised by five professional accounting bodies – ICAEW,  the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA), and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).

This is a great achievement and is a measure of the strength of the degree and the rigorous standards that are applied.”
