7月6日，2017先驱报高等教育奖颁奖（Herald Higher Education Awards)晚会在格拉斯哥的Radisson Blu Hotel酒店成功举办。
此项教育奖由苏格兰先驱报携手西苏格兰大学联合举办，旨在庆祝苏格兰高等教育机构在教学、科研、产学结合等方面中所取得的非凡成就。
此奖同时也得到英国高等教育质量保证机构（QAA苏格兰）、苏格兰大学联盟、苏格兰基金委员会（SFC)、苏格兰学历管理委员会(SQA)等官方机构的支持。评委们将从高校的自身推广、技术应用、与雇主的合作、对学生的支持以及扩大准入政策等方面进行评比。
苏格兰先驱报高等教育奖活动自2015年开始，西苏格兰大学一直全力支持！本次颁奖也是苏格兰先驱报与西苏格兰大学第三次共同举办的活动。正如西苏格兰大学校长Craig Mahoney教授所述“我们很高兴能参与支持这些奖项，同时也祝贺所有获奖的机构！”
